Details:
On May 30, 2013, a group of Israeli colonists set fields in Jit village ablaze. The fire destroyed 11 dunums of wheat and olive fields.

Over the past five years, colonists carried out many similar attacks under the protection of the Israeli soldiers. Tens of fields were lost which drastically affected agriculture and livestock for people who largely depend on them in their living.
Most of the lands around the colony were used for agricultural purposes; however, the establishment of the colony over the lands of Tal, Far’atta and Jit limited the farmers access to the lands.
The farmers also avoid going into the lands around the colony because of the unstoppable colonists abuses.
