Violation: the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued three eviction orders for lands in Haris.

Location: ‘Al Khalla’ area – north east Haris.

Date: August 28, 2012.

 

Details:

 

As part of the Israeli overall colonization plan the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued 3 eviction orders for plots in Haris. The Israeli Occupation Authorities gave the owners a period of 3 days to do so or the contents will be ravaged.

It must be noted that the targeted lands have been owned and used by the people of Haris long before the conquest of the village in 1967. By the time the Israeli Occupation Authorities are demolishing structures and confiscation properties Israeli colonies are growing on an unprecedented rate while being fully supported by the Israeli Government which provides them infrastructure, security, funds, etc.

 

Haris:

 

Haris is located 6 km to the west of Salfit. Its total area is 8450 dunums including 320 dunums of built up area inhabited by 3112. PBCS 2007. A 4-km-long section of bypass ‘505’ penetrates the village fertile lands.
