8 stop-work Notifications in Rabud village - Hebron Governorate

On November 20, 2011, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued 9 stio-work orders against a house and a shed in Rabud. According the the Village Council statement, Israeli troops and the so-called Civil Administration officers broke into the village and started writing the order and sticking them on buildings’ doors.

Acoording to the orders, the decision was justified by the lack of construction permits in area classified ‘C’ according to Oslo. In addition; a hearing session is to be held on January 3, 2012 to discuss the fate of the structures.

Eyewitnesses stated that the officers returned to the village hours later; they took pictures of the Electricity poles on the northern part of the village without any explanation.

Rabud:

Rabud is located to the south of Dura in Hebron; it is inhabited by around 1000 people. The village includes a high school, a mosque, a kindergarten, a youth club, and a maternity clinic. It has two entrances; the northern is a paved one while the southern is a rough road. The Israeli Army blocked the northern entrance for 6 years. The village affairs are administered by a joint council formed of the villages of Rabud, Kurza, Abu al Arqan, and Abu al Asja.Etnael colony stands on the village lands.
