Description:
October 24th 2021 , the Israeli Occupation authorities issued halt of work orders for three houses in Idhna town west Hebron, on the pretext of building without a license.
The owners of the houses said that a vehicle related to the building and organization department – the Civil Administration, accompanied by a military Jeep raided “Khallet Al-Harb” area west the town , and the building inspector of the civil administration wrote the notices , and hanged them on the three targeted houses , then took pictures of them before withdrawing.
In the notices, the occupation authorities ordered the immediate stoppage of construction works, and sat November 17th 2021, as the date of the inspection subcommittee session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.
The notices targeted the following houses:
- House of citizen ‘Adnan ‘Awad : Received a halt of work order number 31879, for his house which has a total area of (120 m2) built of baton and stones since 2018 , and inhabited by a family of 5 (3 children, 1 female).

- Citizen Sa’diya ‘Awad: received halt of work notice number 31880, for her house which is built of bricks and cement since 2020, Sa’diya lives alone at the house (60 m2).

- Citizen Sadam ‘Awad: received halt of work notice number 31881 , which targets his two-floor house built of stones , the house has a total area of (250 m2) and still under construction, it was supposed to be a home for a family of 6 ( 4 children and 2 females).
About Idhna:
It is 18km west of Hebron. According to statistics conducted in 2017, Idhna is inhabited by 26,009 people. It has a total area of 26,447 dunums, 2653 of which are the village’s built-up area.
The Israeli occupation confiscated 107 dunums of Idhna for the Apartheid Wall. Not only that, more than 3,511 dunums were isolated behind the wall as a result of its construction.
Besides, the bypass road number 35 -that is 4,674 meters long- confiscated more than 467 dunums from the village lands.
