Violation details:
On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, the Israeli occupation authorities issued a final order to stop work and demolish the home of Abdullah Ibrahim Muhammad al-Harb, under the pretext of building it without a permit, in the town of Deir Samet, west of the Hebron governorate.
Citizen Al-Hroub, 22, stated that a demolition order was found affixed to the door of his residence in the Umm Hadhwa area, east of the town, after his neighbors told him that a vehicle belonging to the so-called Planning and Building Department of the Israeli Civil Administration, accompanied by an occupation army patrol, had raided the site. The so-called buildings inspector stuck up the notice on the door of the house.
In the demolition notice number 60789, the occupation authorities demanded “to immediately stop continuing construction work and demolish what has been built.” If he does not do so, the house will be demolished after seven days and he must pay all the exorbitant demolition costs.

Notice to stop work
On 19/7/2020, the occupation authorities issued a notice to stop work in this house bearing the number 20446, and demanded that construction work be stopped under the pretext of not being licensed. The notice also set a date 8/11/2020 for a hearing session of the so-called Inspection Subcommittee, affiliated to the Supreme Organization Council, to consider the decision to stop work and demolish the house.

The notification also set a date of 11/8/2020 for a hearing session to be held at Beit El colony by the so-called Inspection Subcommittee, affiliated to the Supreme Organization Council, to consider the decision to stop work and demolish the house.

From 19/7/2020, the date of issuance of the notice of the suspension and demolition until 11/8/2020, the date of holding the hearing session Mr. Al-Hurub was unable to prepare the file necessary for licensing, due to the closure of the institutions concerned with the issuance of identity papers under Corona pandemic, especially those related to issuing land registry certificate affiliated to the occupation authorities.
The area of the house under threat of demolition is 155M2, built of stones and bricks. The owner who is about to get married has begun to work on its construction in 2019 AD.

A glimpse on Deir Samit “Al Yasiriya”:
Deir Samet is located 13 km southwest of the city of Hebron, and according to the local authorities it is within the “Al-Yasiriya” area, and is surrounded on the northern side by the village of Al-Samiya, on the east by the village of Tarousa and the town of Dura, on the west by the 1967 borders, and from the south by the villages of Beit Awa and Wadi Ubaid. It had a population of 8,114 people according to 2017 census. Its total area within the Yasiriya community is 22,273 dunums of which 717 dunums are a built-up area.
Two colonies were built on its land; the first of which is Mershalim, on a total area of 40.5 dunums; and the second one is Nijhaot, which was built on 112 dunums, and nowadays inhabited by 134 settlers.
On the other hand, bypass road No. 3265, which connects the Jewish colonies with Israeli proper, was built on 413 dunums of the village land. Not to forget the Expansion and Annexation Wall whose construction, in that particular area, was built at the length of 4,143M. This, eventually, led to the looting of about 414 dunums under its path, in addition to isolating 350 dunums behind it.
The lands of Yasiriyah are classified into areas B and C according to the Oslo Accords. Areas B formed 54% – 12,016 dunums- of the total village area, and the remaining 46% are classified as areas C amounting to about 10,251 dunums.
