Description:
Wednesday September 2nd, the occupation authorities demolished an agricultural room and water harvesting cistern that belong to Faraj Ghaith , on the pretext of building without licenses in Wad Al-A’awar south Hebron.
In the early morning hours, Massive army forces accompanied by border guards , the building and organization department , a Volvo bulldozer and a JCB excavator raided the area and carried out the demolition.
One of the targeted structures was a cement room built since 2018 with a total area of 25 m2; the targeted room was used as a store and a resting place.
Another one was a water harvesting Cistern used to irrigate a 2 dunums farmland, the cistern contains 64 m3 , and was established in 2018.
Faraj Ghaith said that the construction of both the room and the cistern cost about 24 thousand Shekels (7000 Dollars).
Noteworthy, In August 2020 Ghaith found a demolition notice for both the room and the cistern issued by the civil administration on the pretext of building without licenses.
Wad Al-A’awar area is situated to the south of Hebron city , east the Industrial Zone (Al-Fahes) , and bordered by bypass 317 (east) and bypass 60 (north).
