Violation: Orders to evict 3 dunums of agricultural lands
Location: Al Absiyya- Al Khadr/ Bethlehem governorate
Date: 15/09/2013
Perpetrators: The so-called Civil Administration (C.A.) of the Israeli occupation
Victims: Rizq Salah
Details:
The C.A. informed Rizq Salah that he had to evict his 3-dunum pitch of land planted with olive trees and grapes. Salah was heading to his land as usual only to find a military order with a map attached lying on the ground. The order was issued on 15/09/2013 from (Israeli Army- Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria Area- Inspection Central Unit) and titled "Evacuation Order". The order demanded Salah to stop working in the land and return it to its previous status within 45 days starting from the day of receiving the order. The order also stated that in case Salah does not comply, special authorities will carry out the eviction order and will have the right to make him pay the eviction costs. According to the order, Salah’s land is state property (Israel’s property that is).
Picture 1: The threatened land
Since the land is near (Eliezer and Gush Etzion) colonies, it is a target for the colonists who seek to annex it to their colonies for expansion. It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that Salah’s land is under attack. In 2012, the Israeli occupation ravaged his land and destroyed a well Salah used for watering his crops. The table gives information about the landowner:
