Violation: a decision to demolish 21 Palestinian residences
Location: Yatma – Nablus
Date: December 26, 2013.
Perpetrators: the so-called Organization and Construction Committee.
Victims: 29 Palestinian families, a total of 146 people.
Details:
Since the Israeli Occupation of the West Bank in 1967, the Israelis have been depriving the Palestinians from their right to adequate housing as well as their right to expand and develop. For that purpose, the Israelis set a number of rules and regulations for construction and expansion in areas classified 'C' according to Oslo rendering construction for Palestinians in those areas next to impossible.
On December 26, 2013, the Israeli Supreme Court handed one of the families lawyers a memoir saying that the Court overruled the families appeal in regard to the demolishing orders issued 4 years earlier. The Court suggested that each family appeal solely before December 27, 2012 with paying an amount of 2500 ILS as Court fees.

Yatma:
The village is located 11 km to the south of Nablus city. It is surrounded by As Sawiya, Yasuf, Beita, and Qabalan villages. Its total area is 4411 dunums including 392 dunums of built up area which is inhabited by 2853 Palestinians. The village lost around 25.7 dunums to Rekhelim colony.
