At the heart of the Jordan Valley lies a true tragedy were the Occupation damages the lives of Palestinians in the area on daily basis. The Israelis have been targeting the simple nomads residents and facilities in the area; the Israeli Occupation Army never hesitates to demolish residences, stealing crops, killing herds…etc.

On June 18, 2012, a humanitarian organization provided 6 families of Al Ahmar with 6 toilets; however, an Israeli force broke into the area and confiscated them on claims that they have been placed in an area classified ‘C’ according to Oslo. The Israeli Occupation Authorities gave the owner till July 11 to obtain permits. .

Ras al Ahmar is a nomad dwelling in Al Bqe’a area. It is inhabited by 67 people living in tents and depend on herding in their living.
It must be noted that the Israelis have issued a large number of demolition and evacuation orders in the area which is categorized as a closed military zone. The Israelis have also prohibited the rehabilitation of a rough road in the area on the pretext of building in area classified ‘C’ before obtaining the proper permits. This added to the suffering of the people knowing that the road connects the dwelling with the nearby ‘Atouf, basically, the only connection with the Palestinian communities.
