Violation: the Israeli Occupation Authorities ordered the stoppage of construction in 8 structures.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration – the so-called Inspection Subcommittee.
Victims: 7 Palestinian families (52 people including 29 children).
Location: south eastern part of Kafr Qaddum – Qalqiliya.
Details:
On May 1, 2012, Israeli forces broke into Kafr Qaddum and handed 7 Palestinian families stop-work orders on the pretext of failing to acquire needed permits before construction in an area classified ‘C’ according to Oslo. It must be noted that the regional Electricity Company which provides the village with power has also been targeted. May 21, 2012 was set as the date of the hearing session to be held in Beit El Military Court in regards to the orders.

Kafr Qaddum is located 25 km away from Qalqiliyya. The village lost 3200 dunums to colonial activities; besides, the Israeli Army set more than 8800 dunums as ‘security buffer zones’, inaccessible by the Palestinians. The village’s total area is 19250 dunum. Blocking the main entrance of the village forced the locals to cross an extra 12 km in order to leave the village using alternative paths.
