The Israeli military confiscates 4 residential rooms from the Bedouin community of Arab al-Kaabna

Violation: confiscating Palestinian properties

Location: Ramallah governorate

Date: 20/11/2014

Perpetrators: Planning Committee of Israel

Victims: four Bedouin families

Details :

The occupation main objective is to turn Bedouins lives in the area of the Palestinian Jordan Valley into a living hell, taking the advantage of weather's bad conditions to inflect a collective punishment on all residents of the area.

On Thursday November 20, 2014, a number of military jeeps accompanied by a truck and a bulldozer raided the area of Arab al-Ka'abna and surrounded the place firmly. Troops of the occupation forced four Bedouin families to evacuate their residences without any previous warning andor notification. Noteworthy, the residences were donated by the government of Norway through ACTED organization in 2014; the donation came to substitute the residents tents, which were demolished on August 2014 by the occupation under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

It should be marked that the Israeli troops dismantled the metal rooms (16m2 for each) and moved them to an unidentified place without even serving the owners "minutes of confiscation"

It should also be mentioned that the residents of this community have been living in it since 1970 and have also been born here. In 2011, Ka'abna members received stop-work orders on their residences from the Planning Committee relative to Israel Civil Administration. Despite legally following up on the case in the Israeli courts, the occupation demolished their barracks and houses on August 20, 2014 leaving them homeless.
