Four families notified with stop work orders in Tubas

 

Violation: stop work orders served on four residences

Perpetrators: the Planning Committee of the Israeli occupation

Victims: four families (20 members including 10 minors)

Details:

After four days from the demolition of three residential rooms and the displacement of two families in Aqaba town, the occupation troops accompanied by the Planning Committee, on Monday 24/08/2014, raided the Bedouin community that is located east of al-Aqaba town and served citizen Deifallah al-Zawahrih two stop work orders on the tents they set up after they had their houses demolished.

It is indicated and within the same context that Israel Planning Committee served citizen Jaber Hussien Jaber and his son Tahssien stop work orders on their residential rooms( made of clay bricks and metal slabs) in the same location of eastern Aqraba.

The pretext came under unlicensed construction within area classified C according to Oslo Accords. The Committee set 15/09/2014 as a final date for the order, which in this regard comes in time with the Committee session in Beit El court to consider the status of the notified structures. The following table explains the damages resulted by the military orders:

According to Land Research Center LRC database, the military stop work and demolition orders reached out 25 residential and agricultural structures. In addition, 20 houses and barns were also targeted since 2003 until now.

The village electricity network was demolished besides a water pool that supports peoples’ need for irrigation and human consumption.
