- Violation: notices to stop construction in agricultural facilities.
- Location: Kafr Laqif Village / Qalqilya Governorate.
- Violation date: 13/01/2022.
- The perpetrator: the so-called Israeli Civil Administration.
- The affected party: 6 families from the village.
The violation details:
On Thursday morning, January 13, 2022, a force of the Israeli occupation army, accompanied by the so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Administration in the occupied West Bank, raided the northeastern part of the village of Kafr Laqif in Tulkarm Governorate, and 6 newly established agricultural facilities were targeted by dispatching notices to stop work and construction in those facilities under the pretext of un-licensing.
According to what was mentioned in those notifications, the occupation set 23/02/2022 as the date for holding a session of the “Inspection Subcommittee” at its headquarters in the settlement of “Beit El” to discuss what it called “the demolition of the buildings or the restoration of the place to its previous state.”
Stop- work notices by owner’s name, No. of family members, area, No. of military notice, and type of installation:
It is worth noting that in the year 2019, the LRC’s field unit confirmed that the occupation authorities issued three halt of work notices against two commercial establishments and a residential building south of the village on the pretext of un-licensing, according to the occupation’s claim. If Palestinian citizens apply to license their buildings and facilities, the occupation authorities invoke flimsy pretexts and do not grant the required permit, leading to the destruction of the targeted building.
