New Israeli Demolition Warnings to Palestinian Houses in Doma Village

On the 14th of April, 2008, (11) warnings were issued by so-called the Supreme Regulation Council of the Occupation in which it decided to stop building and / or to give an additional chance to object for 10 residential and agricultural structures in Doma Village southeast Nablus Governorate, under the pretext that buildings occurred on C classified areas and built without getting required permits from the Isreali Occupation, noted that the structures of the demolished orders had been warned in the past during January 2008 to stop construction, where the Israeli Occupation Authorities impose impossible conditions, requested by so-called  the Building and Regulating Department of the Occupation, including planning schemes for land of the built structure, engineering schemes for the existing structures, structure's photographs from 4 sides and certificate of land ownership, as the cost of preparing these papers is over $1000 for each structure, and this process is costly to village inhabitants, who work mostly in agriculture and livestock, particularly sheep, and the average of unemployment reaches recordable numbers as from the majority of the village residents the 3500 people, there are 65 families classified as poor and dependant in their lives on external food and humanitarian assistance and as a result of the hard circumstances experienced by the Palestinian arena now. It should be noted that this procedure has had a profound negative impact on the villagers informed that there are about 27 structures in the village located outside the region, classified B according to Oslo Agreement and this would spread the spirit of fear in the hearts of the owners of these structures from the threat of demolition, as the owners of those structures were forced to build in that area in response to the local necessity of population growth and demographic expansion in the region, where the building area does not exceed (200) dunums of the total village area which is 18000 dunums, and this indicates the ambitions of the Israeli occupation in Doma's lands confiscation located in the region classified 'C' in preparation for the spread of new settlements in this area or expansion of existing ones, such as 'Maale Ephraim' located to the north-east of Doma, or 'Cafat Rachel' located to the south-west of the Duma. The Israeli occupation targeted Doma village since 1967 by confiscating about 10 thousand dunums, all from the east, the most famous of these lands were Fasayel site that contains a water spring which Israel controlled and dug inside two boreholes that deprived people of the village from drinking water up to this day, where villagers suffer from non-existing source of drinking water, in addition to preventing people from building and not granting building permits in areas classified C.  The occupation authorities confiscated vast areas of the village and established (Maaleh Ephraim) settlement.

Doma's survey and location:

Doma village is located 24 meters to the south-east of Nablus city, and is bounded by Majdal Bani Fadel village to the north, Jordan Valley to the east, Khirbat Mughir to the south, Qasra and Jaloud to the west, and the area of construction of the village covers about 200 dunums, from its total land area 18000 dunums, the number of inhabitants in 2006 about 2500 people.

Villagers depend on un-irrigated crops and summer cultivation of fruit trees and olive and people interested in raising livestock and poultry.

There are three main springs in the village (Fasayel to the West, Ein Doma, Rashash to the south, Um Amir) the largest spring is Fasayel that was seized by the occupation authorities and is currently being used to distribute water to nearby settlements. The following list shows the names of those affected people who sent those notices to stop construction work in preparation for demolition, and those who sent them notices to stop working with a further opportunity to object to demolition orders:
