Violation: The issuing of 9 Stop work orders

Details:
A new wave of Stop Work orders were distributed on Sunday January 29, 2012, in the village Haris, north east of the city of Salfeet. The Orders were issued by the so-called Israeli “Civil Administration” under the usual pretext of building without a permit in Area C. The occupation forces gave the affected population until the 14th of February to file for an objection of these Orders. In case the Orders were developed into Final Demolition Orders, then 46 Palestinians including 26 children will become homeless.
It has to be pointed out that the village of Haris is considered one of the most affected towns and villages in the Governorate of Salfeet by the intentional Israeli policy of house demolition andor Stop work orders. Currently, there are more than 25 structures that have received Stop Work Orders under the pretext of being built without a permit in areas classified as Area C. These structures range from residential to agricultural.

Haris Village: General Information
The village of Haris is located 6 kilometers west of the city of Salfeet. The total area of the village is 8,450 dunums with a built-up area of about 320 dunums. According to the PCBS, the 2010 population of the village is 3,800.
The village is a prime example of the ugliness of the Israeli occupation as Road 505 was established over 4 kilometers atop its most fertile lands. For additional documented violations, please refer to the following LRC cases:
