Friday, April 16th 2020 about 9:00 am a massive army force accompanied by the building and organization officer raided Aj-Jiftlik and served military notice number (10386) , which targets a shack with a total area of 120 m2 used as a blacksmith shop belongs to Anwar Abu Joudeh who supports a family of 7 people , some of them are children.

The notice was issued under military order 1797, and targets a shack constructed only three years ago.
Military order 1797 was activated in 2018, The responsible on Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission ‘Ayed Marar told LRC: “Military order 1797 abolishes the building and organization Jordanian Law, which was applied in the West Bank as an occupied territory. The new military order gives the civil administration more authorities to demolish Palestinian structures and deprive the owners from their right to object. The order specifically targets newly constructed buildings or structures inhabited for less than 30 days.”
60 % of the West Bank is classified C in Oslo accords , which means that its residents may be subjected by military order 1797 , this will raise a massive issue now that Palestinians are only allowed to build in small parts in the West Bank that are already overpopulated.
About al- Jiftlik:[1]
It is located 35km to the northern part of Jericho city and is edged by the village of Beit Dajan from the northwest and Massua colony from the west. The village has a population of 3100 people until 2017 and has a total land area of 185031 dunums of which 1110 dunums are built-up area. Noteworthy, the occupation expropriated around 12040 dunums from the village as follows:
- 3207 dunums were confiscated for the favor of establishing colonies in the nearby.
- 3328 dunums were confiscated for the bypass roads no. (90, 505, and 508).
- 5505 dunums were confiscated for the favor of military camps
