Description:
The Israeli Occupation forces accompanied by a vehicle from the building and organization department in the civil administration raided Qibya village northwest Ramallah , and notified 4 buildings in the village on the pretext of building without licenses , the targeted houses are located in an area known of “Al-Ba’ana” west the village , 200 m away from the segregation and expansion wall.
The Occupation sets January 21st 2020 as the final date to conclude the licensing procedures , which is the same date of the building and organization committee in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.
In the same context , the occupation targeted another house with a final demolition order , and gave the owner only one week to object before carrying out the demolition.

Qibya village council head told LRC the following:
“The occupation already targeted 40 residential and agricultural facilities with halt of work orders , they also demolished four residences , a barracks (barn) and a greenhouse during the recent few years. Qibya’s small structural spot pushed people of the village to build in area C and made them exposed to the occupation’s demolition operations , the village have been demanding for an expansion since 1992 for its small structural area.”
The military notices target the following locations:
- Al-Ba’ana area north west the village : 19 residential and agricultural facilities notified.
- Al-Ma’asara area south the village: 10 houses notified.
- Al-Hadab area east the village: 11 houses notified.

- Qibya has a total population of (6090) people according to 2017 census.
- The village has a total area of 4,896 dunums , of which 1,043 a structural area.
- Qibya is penetrated by the segregation and expansion wall (560 m long) , the wall ate up 56 dunums , and isolated 66 dunums .
