The Israeli Occupation is trying to depopulated Wad As-Seeq area and take over it for colonial expansion , 33 Bedouin families live in the area (240 people) most of which come from Aj-Jahaleen and Al-Ka’abneh clans , Bedouins practice a basic lifestyle under an occupation eager to take over natural resources in the Jordan Valley , the community lacks basic life possibilities such as (infrastructure , services, and water).
In 2016, the Palestinian Ministry of Education established a school (At-Tahadi 6) in the community to support their steadfastness and provide education for children using basic possibilities.
Community head Abdul Rahman Ka’abneh told LRC:
“in 1996 we resided Wad As-Seeq after the occupation authorities forced us to leave Al-Auja area and demolished our tents. However in 2008 the occupation authorities issued halt of work notices for 4 families, and in 2009-2019 , the occupation authorities issued notices for other 24 families , and today the occupation notified 27 families. On the other hand, the occupation authorities provides facilitations for settlers to take over Palestinian lands in the Jordan Valley , recently settlers were seen ravaging 45 dunums to establish a new outpost.”
