Violation: Notifying four Bedouin families with stop-work and construction orders on their agricultural structures

Details:
On April 03, the so-called sub-committee of Planning and Construction Committee served four Bedouin families military orders to stop working on their agricultural structures under the pretext of unlicensed construction in area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords.
The Civil Administration gave the notified families a respite until May 04 as a final date to be done with the procedures of obtaining a building permit. Same day was set for the Planning and Construction Committee to meet in Beit El in order to discuss the legal status of the threatened structures.

The military orders targeted 5 residential tents, 7 barns, and 6 agricultural barracks. The structures belong to four Bedouin families of As-Salamin comprising 18 people, including 7 children. Livestock is the main source of income to the families who own 770 heads of sheep.

Agricultural and residential structures of As-Salamin family, located in Khirbet al-Hadidiya, were targeted before with demolition as the Israeli occupation army carried out three demolition operations in the area under the same pretext: Lack of a building permit in area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords. And despite the fact that residents of the Khirbet managed to obtain an injunction order from the Israeli Supreme Court at the beginning of this year to halt any demolition until the completion of obtaining a license, they received stop-work orders. Moreover, the Israeli occupation authorities refused the license requests, making the demolition of the community the only likely scenario.
About Hadidyeh:
33km to the north of Tubas city and is considered a part of Dahr al-Maleh area. It has a total built-up area of 70 dunums inhabited by 200 Palestinians who fully depend on agriculture and sheep grazing. The Aoudeh and Bsharat families came from Tammun town and resided, as other Bedouin families did, in the al-Bq’ya plains of the northern part of the Jordan Valley. Residing that area was for the sake of plantation and livestock breeding in the fields inherited by villagers' fathers and grandfathers.
