Violation: Issuing and distributing a number of stop-work (construction) orders.
Date: 14th of May 2014.
Location: Bardala village- Tubas governorate
Perpetrators: The Planning and Construction Committee of the so-called Civil Administration
Victims: 7 Palestinian families that consist of 67 members including 38 children.
Details
The sub-committee of inspection and construction that is part of the so- called “Civil Administration” handled 7 Palestinian families in Bardala village, east of Tubas military notifications asking for halting construction of their agricultural structures used for raising sheep. The occupation authorities justified the act by claiming that they lack a building permit in area "C" according to Oslo Accords.
It should be noted that the greenhouses are only two years old and are made of metal slabs. The professions of sheep grazing and farming are the only sources of income for the affected families.
The Bedouin families live in the northeast of Bardala, 2km in the northeast of the village and 1km to the south of Beesan military checkpoint in particular. They live in tents made out of wood and clothes.
It is noteworthy to know that the Israeli occupation has given the owners of the greenhouses a deadline “until the 6th of next July” in order to complete the license procedures where the deadline matches the date of a session of the Planning and Construction Committee in “Beit Eel Court” in order to mediate the legal status of the notified houses.
