Violation: eviction order on lands
Date: 10/02/2015
Location: al-Shuyukh village
Perpetrators: Israeli Civil Administration and the occupation army
Victims: citizens from the area
Details:
The Israeli occupation authorities on February 10, 2015 served "Eviction" orders on plots in the area of al-Shuyukh, east of Hebron governorate.
A staff from Israel Civil Administration accompanied by a force from the occupation army raided the area of Qinan Nias, south of al-Shuyukh village and left the orders- with aerial photos for the location- in the targeted lands. Noteworthy, the orders were issued by the Israeli occupation Defense Army- The Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria- State Property Department- Central Inspection Unit.
The Israeli occupation authorities claimed that the targeted lands were purchased illegally and compelled the owners- through the orders- to evict the lands and restore their previous status within a 45 day deadline. In case the lands owners do not evict, the Israeli occupation authorities will carry out the eviction process where all costs will be billed to the owners.
It should be that the targeted lands are considered as part of the village's demographic expansion area; some of the other area is planted with either fruitful trees or winter crops where the rest is arid area. Not only that, the area accommodates ten residences, quarry and a number of cisterns. The following table shows the military orders and the lands targeted by :

An aerial photo showing the targeted parcels by the orders
The mayor of al-Shuyukh Sharif Halaiqa pointed out that in 1981, the Israeli occupation authorities issued an eviction order on 652 dunums from the lands of Qinan Nias to be transformed into an industrial zone for the colony of Qiryat Arbaa that is founded in Hebron.
Halaiqa also said that in case the occupation authorities targets any parcel from the residents' lands, this means that other parcels in the nearby will become subject to confiscation. He also assured that the municipality of al-Shuyukh intends to prepare a legal file to object the latest orders; it will also make a survey for the 2000 dunums Qinan Nias that are owned by ( Warasna, Ayayyda, and Halaiqa) families.
Purpose behind eviction :
After serving the eviction and implementing it on lands, the Israeli occupation authorities ravaged the lands, destroyed all retaining walls in them , uprooted all trees and moved them to colonies, sprayed chemicals on the soil so that plants will not grow again, and demolished all water cisterns in the area.
