Violation: Torching crops.
Date: May 16 2018.
Location: Idhna town/ Hebron governorate.
Perpetrator: The Israeli occupation army.
Victims: Farmer Wajih Aj-Jiawi.
Description: Wajih Aj-Jiawi (57) said that Israeli troops torched 20 dunums of agricultural lands belong to him. Noteworthy, the targeted plots are adjacent to the apartheid wall.
Aj-Jiawi asserted: “ I received a phone call from my son telling me that 3 Israeli troops entered the plot and set the crops on fire.
Other farmers rushed to the land and killed the fire after it ate the whole crops.
When I reached my land, the perpetrators were still there, I asked them why they set the land on fire, they denied. I told them that my son had seen them, they replied in Hebrew –which is a language I speak- We will set you in fire if you do not leave the place, so I left with other farmers.
Aj-Jiawi was a victim of several Israeli assaults since the Israeli occupation authorities built an Apartheid wall in the town. Israeli troops fire gas-bombs towards Aj-Jiawi and his herd to force him evict his lands that surround the wall.
Noteworthy, the apartheid wall devoured 20 dunums of the Idhna’s land.
