Israeli Occupation Forces ravaged on April 05, 2017 some lands nearby AL-Tayba military checkpoint, southwest Tulkarm governorate. Noteworthy, the ravaging acts are meant to expand the infrastructure of the checkpoint, resources explained.
The expansion works are reported to include the opening of a new lane at the expense of Palestinian agricultural land founded in there. The exact parcel is founded in the natural block number 8474 and is owned by citizen Salim Ibrahim.
The affected farmer said that the damage followed 11 olive trees planted on a total area of 1800m2. The trees were cut down for the favor of the new lane.
He also said that Israeli Occupation Forces ravaged around 16 dunums of his in the period between 2000-2004 for the favor of establishing the checkpoint itself.
The affected farmer stated that another 52 dunums of his are founded in the same natural block and are now declared inaccessible by the occupation. He and his brothers were sent out from the area many times and were also assaulted in other occasions.
It should be noted that farmer Salim supports a nine member family and does depend on agriculture as a main source of income.
About Al-Tayba checkpoint:
The checkpoint was established in the period between 2002-2005. It is one of the portals that are founded along the apartheid wall. It separates the West Bank from the occupied territories of 1948.

International conventions and laws regarding freedom of movement which Israel unabatedly violates:
Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person”.
Article 5: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment”.
Article 9: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile”.
Article 13: Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
Article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. In particular, no one shall be subjected without his free consent to medical or scientific experimentation.”
Article 9: “Everyone has the right to liberty and security of person. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest or detention. No one shall be deprived of his liberty except on such grounds and in accordance with such procedure as are established by law.
