The families were joyful to finally returning to their homes after the forceful evictions they suffered 30 days earlier. However, on December 5, 2012, a large Israeli force broke into Humsa and informed 5 families of the decision to evacuate them within 48 hours because of the military skirmishes planned on December 9 and 10.

Displacement of the people of the Jordan Valley has become a trend in recent days while the Israeli claim that they intend to conduct skirmishes in the area. The head of the Bedouins Communities Council in the Jordan Valley, Mr. Aref Daraghma, said: ‘a month earlier, over 5 communities, inhabited by tens of fmilies were evictied on the pretext of conducting military skirmishes.
It is the fourth time that similar mass evictions take place showing complete disregard to children, elderly, and families in general not to mention the weather conditions.’
Coherently, Mr. Mohammad al Mallah, the legal advisor in Tubas Governor Office, described the situation as catastrophic; he said: ‘the Israeli Army try to stay away from the colonies spreading all around the area and carrying them out nearby or even inside the Palestinian communities; these families has no place to go and they are forced to stay in the outings till these skirmishes end, sometimes for hours a day’. He pointed that the failure of legal proceedings or the offering of protection to these people will increase the pressure on the inhabitants and maybe force them to leave the area.
