Violation: stop-work orders for two Bedouin families.

On February 11, 2013, the Israeli Occupation Authorities handed two Palestinian families stop-work orders for different structures on the pretext of unlicensed construction. The owners were given up till February 30, 2013, to respond to the orders in a hearing session to be held in Beit El Military Court. Table 1 gives detailes of the threatened structures:

Targeting the Jordan Valley has been an Israeli policy for several years now, it is clear that the Israelis intend to clear the area out of its Palestinian residences to make way for further colonial expansions.
Numerous demolition orders were issued against a number of residences in 2011, 2012, and 2013 as part of a series of arbitrary measures taken against the Palestinian residences of the area.
It is worthy to note that Humsa and al Hadidiyya has been subjected to numerous aggressions in recent years, that did not only include demolitions or demolition threats but also evictions, chasing of farmers and herders, detention of shepherds and cattle, penalties, and cutting the water supply.
Al Hadidiyyah – an Overview:
Al Hadidiyyah is located 33 km to the east of Tubas city. It is inhabited by around 200 people spreading over more than 70 dunums.
The locals depend largely on agriculture and herding in their living. The Israelis have been trying to evict the residents of Al Hadidiyyah by any means including demolition threats, actual demolitions, land confiscations, etc; while the Israelis claim that the village is located within a ‘military zone’ despite the Israeli Supreme Court order that granted them 91 dunums to reside in. It is surrounded by the Israeli colonies of Beqaot and Roi (west); and Hamadat (east)
