Violation: a large-scale demolition operation taking place in Khirbet at-Taweel
Date: 12/05/2014
Location: Khirbet at-Taweel, Aqraba- Nablus governorate
Perpetrators: The Israeli Planning Committee of the Civil Administration
Victims: Four Palestinian families consisting of 30 people, including 19 children
Details:
At the early hours of Monday on May 12, a large force of the Israeli occupation army in company with members of the planning committee of the Civil Administration broke into Khirbet at -Taweel, east of Aqraba in Nablus.
Israeli bulldozers embarked on demolishing 3 residential rooms made of metal slabs as well as a water tank, let alone confiscating five tents given away by the Red Crescent to people affected by the previous demolition operation that took place in April 2014 and targeted three houses, a barn, two water pools and at-Taweel Mosque that was totally reduced to rubble.
It is worth mentioning that the same people harmed by the previous demolition operation are the same victims of the current.
The at-Taweel Mosque is under constant attack:
After leveling the mosque of the Khirbet on April 29, 2014, the Israeli occupation confiscated the tent donated by the Red Crescent for the people to pray in as a temporary solution until a new mosque is built.
