The Israeli occupation authorities on September 06, 2015 raided the area that is located to the east of Barta’a checkpoint, which isolates the village from its Palestinian surroundings.
An accompanying dozer then embarked on demolishing five kiosks that are made of wood and metal slaps under the claim of “unlicensed construction” within an area classified “C” according to Oslo Accords. Noteworthy, the kiosks were demolished with interiors still inside.
It should be marked that the kiosks have been established 5 years ago and are considered the main source of income for five families totaling 25 members. Noteworthy, the kiosks are only 100m away from the checkpoint. The following table shows some information about the damage resulted by the demolition:

It should be marked that the residents of the area witnessed the occupation since 1967. The village was isolated by the apartheid in 2002; there is only one gate in the wall named Rihan crossing , through which people can travel in and out the village. Since May 16, 2015, the administration of the crossing was given to a security company. The crossing was given the title of checkpoint afterwards. This made the life of the area’s residents a living hell due to the inhumane practices of the occupation soldiers at the checkpoint.
