Description:
November 29th 2021, The Israeli Occupation authorities issued a halt of work notice for houses and structures in Qusra south Nablus, on the pretext of building without a license.
A massive army force accompanied by the building and organization officer raided the village, the building inspector wrote the notices, hanged them on the structures and withdrew.
In the notices, The Occupation Authorities ordered the immediate stoppage of construction works, and sat Dec 22nd 2021, as the date of the building and organization session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.
Engineer Ahmed Mustafa in Qasra Municipality said: “A number of military vehicles accompanied by the building and organization officer raided the eastern part of the village on Monday November 29th 2021 , and served halt of work notices to 20 citizens , on the pretext of building without a license in area C.”
Mustafa , also a member of Municipal Legal Aid Offices in Qusra, formed by LRC in 2021 , said that the office in coordination with the Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center offers to submit objections on behalf of the victims. Qusra:
23 kilometer south of Nablus, Qusra is surrounded by Jurish (North) , Talfit (West), Majdel Bani Fadel (east) and bordered by “Mitzpe Rahel” (south).
Qusra has a population of 5318 people according to projections made in 2017. It has a total area of 8886 dunums, 775 of which are a built-up area of the village.
The Israeli occupation devoured 223 dunums of Qusra lands, for the following purposes:
- “Megdalim” settlement was established in 1984 devoured 155 , and inhabited by 348 settlers according to 2018 census.
- Bypass roads (508) devourd 68 dunums.
