Description:
Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces raided Qata’an Aj-Jame’a area west Deir Istiya and carried on ravaging an olive grove , on the pretext of using an “Israeli government Property”.
Reportedly, the bulldozer destroyed 180 olive trees aging 17 years old , and 700 m of retaining walls on a 18 dunums olive grove that belong to citizen Hussain Zidan (73) from Deir Istiya.

Hussain Zidan (72) told LRC the following:
“The targeted plot provides a subside source of income for my family , I have been planting the plot with wheat for years , and each season I cultivated it and took care of it , 7 years ago I planted it with olive trees , I used to check on the land daily and I opened a road to facilitate accessing it. About one year ago , the occupation gave me an eviction order on the pretext of using a governmental property , this was followed by a mass ravaging operation the occupation implemented in my plot.”
The government properties department – The Israeli Occupation civil administration have already notified several locations of eviction since the beginning of 2020 on the pretext of using governmental properties , the targeted are is located between (Yakir) and (Nofim).
