Description:
June 8th 2020, the Israeli Occupation Authorities through the building and organization officer served halt of work orders for 6 facilities in Haris, on the pretext of building without licenses.
According to the notices, the occupation set July 6th as the date of the subcommittee session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.
The targeted facilities are built on 150 dunums belong to the late Radwan Dawoud. Close to the property, the occupation authorities built illegally two industrial settlements: Ariel and Revava.

The targeted facilities provide job opportunities for supporters of 5 families (28 people , of which 7 are children).

One of the heirs Tariq Radwan told LRC:
“My brothers and I inherited (150) dunums close to the colonial road (bypass (5) , through tens of years we were the occupation’s victims several times, in 1979 the occupation forces demolished our family home even though we had a building license, then through the years they demolished several shacks and storehouses we had in the area.”
Noteworthy , The occupation authorities notified 38 houses and facilities in Haris village , on the pretext of building in C area without licenses.

7 km to the northwest of Salfit governorate, Haris is located with a total land area of 8769 dunum, of which 190 dunums are the village’s built-up area. Haris is surrounded by the villages of Deir Istiya from the north, Kifl Haris from the east, Kfar ad-Dik and Bruqin from the southwest and Qarawat Bani Hassan from the west.
It has a total population of 3740 people according to the census of Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics for 2009. Those people hail from the following families: Abu Atta, Dawoud, Salamih, Sultan, Shihada, Souf, Faz’, Awwad, Qasim, and Klaib. The Israeli occupation confiscated 3631 dunums from the village as follows :

- 726 dunums were confiscated to open the bypass roads numbers ( 505, 4765, 5506)
- The apartheid wall confiscated 233 dunums for its establishment. Upon its completion, the wall will isolate 7135 dunums
