Israeli forces assault Muslim worshipers and close al Aqsa mosque/ Occupied Jerusalem

Israeli forces on Tuesday assaulted Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the pretext of fireworks in the Israeli police station thrown by demonstrators as an excuse for the invasion.

The fanatic forces savagely attacked worshipers and hit them while dragging them out.

The old city’s gate was closed, and Palestinians were not allowed to enter or exit. The savage forces also attacked Jerusalemites that were by Lions’ gate and arrested number of them.

The occupation forces disclosed that the mosque will be closed until further notice. Moslems performed Al-Asser and Al-Maghreb prayers outside the mosque.

Reportedly , this is only a part of the election campaign for the next Israeli elections, after the far- right parties accused the Israeli prime minister Netanyahu of surrendering to the Jerusalemites well in opening Ar-Rahma Gate as a place of prayer for Muslims, at times Israeli settlers were calling to turn it into a synagogue.

Geneva Fourth Conventions , Art. 27 : protected persons are entitled, in all circumstances, to respect for their persons, their honour, their family rights, their religious convictions and practices, and their manners and customs. They shall at all times be humanely treated, and shall be protected especially against all acts of violence or threats thereof and against insults and public curiosity.

 Hague convention (1907) .Art. 56. The property of municipalities, that of institutions dedicated to religion, charity and education, the arts and sciences, even when State property, shall be treated as private property. All seizure of, destruction or wilful damage done to institutions of this character, historic monuments, works of art and science, is forbidden, and should be made the subject of legal proceedings.

Geneva protocol (1977, Art 53.  it is prohibited to commit any acts of hostility directed against the historic monuments, works of art or places of worship which constitute the cultural or spiritual heritage of peoples;
