In the early morning hours of Monday 14 /01/2019, the Israeli occupation police closed Al-Aqsa mosque after an Israeli police officer wearing Kippah and The Israeli minister of Agriculture “Uri Ariel” tried to break in the mosque, Al-Aqsa mosque guardians tried to stop them.
Number of Israeli troops interfered and assaulted Palestinian worshipers causing several casualties, one of the injuries Is the responsible on Al-Aqsa mosque Shaikh Omar Al-Kaswani.
The occupation police encircled the mosque , closed it and refused to open it before arresting all worshipers inside.
Palestinian worshipers and citizens who quickly gathered from the old city of Jerusalem demonstrated against the Israeli authorities’ policies of intervening in every single decision in Al-Aqsa mosque.
The closure continued for several hours, and then the Israeli occupation police arrested number of Palestinian worshipers.
Noteworthy, The Israeli occupation authorities intend to arrest frequent worshipers of Al-Aqsa mosque, and prohibit any repairing works in the ancient worshiping place. On the other hand, hundreds of settlers break into the mosque frequently with the protection of the Israeli occupation army to perform Jewish prayers.
