The Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” wrote in their issue published in 27/12/2018, that the Israeli authorities ratified the construction of (1450) colonial units in West Bank.
Haaretz pointed out that the civil administration ratified the construction of the new colonial units, and that there are about 13 new plans to construct new buildings in Israel8i illegal colonies in West Bank.
It turned out that the Israeli occupation authorities have agreed to the construction of (289) colonial units in Hebron governorate, and is preparing an organizational plan to construct (94) colonial units in “Haggai” colony which is built on confiscated lands south Hebron.
Hereinafter the names of colonies that the occupation’s authorities will expand in Hebron Governorate:
- Karmei Tzur: which is a colony constructed in 1984, on confiscated lands from Halhul and Beit Ummar, North Hebron governorate. the occupation’s government is planning to construct about 120 residential units in Karmei Tzur.
- Adora : which is a colony constructed in 1984 , on confiscated lands west Tarqumiya . The occupation’s intention is to build 16 residential units in Adora.
- Metzad: which is a colony constructed in 1983, on confiscated lands from Sa’ir and Ash-Shuyukh east Hebron. The occupation’s intention is to build new 16 residential units in Metzad.
- Teneh Omarim: Which is a colony constructed in 1984 , on confiscated lands from Adh-Dhaheriya south Hebron. The occupation’s intention is to build 135 new residential units in Teneh Omarim. The following table shows more information about the settlements that the occupation plans to expand:

Security council resolution 446 year 1979: Determines that the policy and practices of Israel in establishing settlements in the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967 have no legal validity and constitute a serious obstruction to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East;
Security council resolution 452 year 1979: the resolution once again denounced Israel’s settlement activities in territories occupied in 1976 including (East) Jerusalem, this activity constituting a violation of the Fourth Geneva convention, and called on Israel to cease planning and construction of settlements
Security council resolution 465 year 1980: calls to dismantle the existing settlements and in particular to cease, on an urgent basis, the establishment, construction and planning of settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem; Calls upon all States not to provide Israel with any assistance to be used specifically in connexion with settlements in the occupied territories;
Security council resolution 478 year 1980: Censures in the strongest terms the enactment by Israel of the “basic law” on Jerusalem and the refusal to comply with relevant Security Council resolutions,Those States that have established diplomatic missions at Jerusalem to withdraw such missions from the Holy City.
