Taleb Awawdeh (62 yrs) one of the affected villagers told LRC observer: “Cattle breeding is our main occupation and source of income in this area, In addition to our difficult life circumstances, we are subjected by Israeli assaults, in 2002 we received a precaution order to stop demolition in the area, but the occupation didn’t commit and delivered military orders to any newly built constructions and demolished some of them in the recent 3 years”
Dhra’ Awwad Bedouin community lies in the western side of “Al Hamra” military checkpoint. It is about 30 km away from Tubas and inhabited by number of Bedouin families. Cattle breeding is their only source of income as they have the least of life possibilities, The community was a subject of Israeli demolitions for many years, it is inhabited by 11 families who come originally from south historical Palestine (occupied 1948) , when they were forcedly transferred to As Samu’ (Palestinian village in Hebron) then they immigrated to Dhra’ Awwad searching for postures and water, Their suffering with the occupation didn’t come to an end yet.
