Violation: closing roads
Location: northeastern part of Ramallah
Date: November 01, 2016
Perpetrators: Israeli Occupation Forces
Details:
Israeli Occupation Forces closed by the beginning of November some main roads and entrances of Ramallah villages in a step of collective punishment to harass Palestinians and restrict their movement.
Land Research Center followed up on the closed roads and documented them as follows:
- The road linking between Kfar Ni'meh and Ras Karkar villages, north Ramallah city. It was closed by road blocks;the road serves around 7000 people from the two villages.

- Beitin western entrance that leads to Beit EL checkpoint and AL-Bireh city was closed by a military gate. Israeli Occupation Forces banned entry and exit from and to the area. Noteworthy, the road is vital in connecting the villages of north Ramallah namely ( Deir Jarjir, Silwad, Ein Yabrud, Beitin, Kfar Malik, and Yabrud) with Ramallah city itself. Residents are now forced to take a substitute road that is longer in distance and cost more money.
- Beit El military checkpoint: it closed after one month from being re-opened. Palestinian cars were not allowed through. Noteworthy, the road is a linking point between AL-Bireh city and the bypass road no. 60.
