Violation: Delivering two families stop-work orders

On Monday, February 10, a large force of the Israeli army accompanied by officers of the Planning and Construction Committee- Civil Administration broke into Khirbet Ainon, east of Tubas.
The Planning and Construction Committee delivered two families military orders obliging them to cease any construction work in their agricultural structures under the pretext of unlicensed construction in an area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords.
According to the orders, the people were given two weeks starting from February 10 to embark on obtaining building permits and handing them to Beit El court.

Khirbet Ainon is 3km east of the West Bank city of Tubas. It is inhabited by a number of Bedouin and agricultural families that hail from Tubas.
Ainon is under constant attack as a number of residential and agricultural structure are threatened of being demolished under the pretext of lacking a building permit in area "C". According to the municipality of Tubas, no less than 13 structures were targeted by stop-work orders during the past five years.
