  • Date:   02/01/2014
  • Location: Rujeib village- Nablus governorate
  • Victims: 6 Palestinian families comprising 31 people including 17 children
  • Perpetrators: The Israeli occupation army

Details:

On January 02, 2014, the Building Inspection Committee of the Civil Administration served 6 Palestinian families from Rujeib, east of Nablus, stop-work orders for their residential structures on the grounds of unlicensed construction in an area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords.

It should be marked that some of the targeted houses were already built five years ago but the Israeli occupation claims they are illegal structures.

The Committee, according to the military orders, gave the residents a respite till January 19, 2014 as  a final date to finish with the procedures of issuing a building permit. The same date was set for the Planning and Construction Committee meeting in Beit El court to consider the status of the threatened structures.

The table gives information about the families affected by the last stop-work notices in Rujeib:

  • Besides, bypass roads number 60 and 557 confiscated more than 823 dunums of the village lands.
