Mr. Kamel indicated that the occupation forces have delivered to him an initial Stop Work Order in January 2011, yet he managed to hire a lawyer and open an objection file in its regard. The final demolition order given to him in January 2012 gave him only 3 days to “demolish the structures, otherwise the occupation forces would so at his own expense.”

The Orders indicated that the structures were threatened of being demolished due to “lack of permits”. It demanded that the owners would stop the work immediately and that they have to come to the court in Bet El on February 9, 2012. The Bani Ne’im Municipality Director, Mr. Haroon Tarayra, indicated that the Orders come in line with the on-going Israeli policy of limiting the Palestinian expansion in the western areas of the town as a number of houses in the area have received additional Stop Work Orders as well as actual demolitions that took place by the occupation forces.
