  • Violation: 17 fruitful trees cut down.
  • Location: Al-Safha area – Khirbet Abu Falah/ Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
  • Violation date: June 17, 2022 AD.
  • The perpetrator: the settlers from the colonial outpost on the lands of the town of Turmusaya.
  • Affected party:  farmer Muntasir Billah Nasser Abu Karsh.

The violation details:

On Friday, June 17, 2022, a group of Jewish settlers from the colonial outpost which stands on the lands of the town of Turmusaya, raided the “Al-Safha” area east of Khirbet Abu Falah, and attacked a piece of land owned by farmer Muntasir Billah Nasser Abu Karsh.

The victim, Muntaser Abu Karsh, told the LRC’s field researcher the following:

I own a one and half dunum piece of land at the distance of about two km from my home in Khirbet Abu Falah north east of Ramallah city. Few months ago I got this piece of land reclaimed and cultivated with various species of trees. The target land is located east of the village near the bypass road known as Alon Road. On Friday, June 17, I went to my farm, as usual, and upon arrival I was surprised by the acts of vandalism that were done in my land by Jewish settlers from the nearby colonial outpost. These acts of vandalism include: the cutting and/or uprooting about 35 newly planted grape, citrus, and ornamental cypress trees; setting fire to two brick rooms; stealing an electric generator and 6 solar-powered flashlights. I reported the matter directly to the Palestinian liaison office ( DCO) to find out what measures I should take against the Jewish vandals .”

It must be added that the settlers stole the tin panels and the fence that were surrounding the farm at the length of 80 meters.
