Wednesday, February 23rd 2022, the occupation authorities issued a final halt of work and demolition order on a house belongs to citizen Khaleel Masharqa, on the pretext of building without a license in Al-Majed West Dura / Hebron Governorate.
The affected citizen found a demolition order hanged on the house , entitled “a final halt of work and demolition order” and numbered (62070) , the occupation authorities order to demolish the structure and returning the plot to a previous status , and threatened to demolish the house in 7 days after the notice issue date , which in case happened the owner would pay a high fine as demolition costs.

In September 3rd 2021, the occupation authorities issued a halt of work and demolition order for the house (notice number 31875), on the pretext of building without a license. The owner prepared a legal file and submitted it to the building and organization department, he also assigned a lawyer from a legal aid institution to file an objection on the demolition notices. The occupation authorities however, sat a date for the building and organization session to decide the fate of the structures.
Noteworthy, the occupation authorities rarely give notices to Palestinians, most of the cases the licensing applications are refused.
Masharqa built his house on a plot that he inherited from his father in “Khallet Jado’u” area east the village, nearby Khirbet Tawwas, and started constructions in 2021 , the house is still in the construction process , and it was supposed to have an area of 100 m2 (two floors) , built of bricks and cement , the house is supposed to be a home for a family of 8 , among them 6 children and 5 females.

Al-Majed village has a population of 3000 people , and it is one of Dura Western villages , Most of Al-Majed residents depend on agriculture , public jobs, trading for living , Al-Majed is suffocated by the Annexation and expansion wall from the west.
