Military notices to stop work in two agricultural service rooms in the village of Al-Nabi Elias / Qalqilya governorate

On Monday morning (31/1/2021), the so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Civil Administration handed over two notices to stop work and construction in two agricultural rooms on the pretext of building without license. The two target rooms are located in  “Hariqat al-Zalam” to the west of the village of Al-Nabi Elias in the Qalqilya governorate.

According to what was stated in those military notices, the occupation set the date of February 23, 2022 to hold a session of the Construction and Organization Committee of the so-called Supreme Organization Council in the occupation authority at its headquarters in the settlement of “Beit El” to discuss “the demolition of the building or returning the place to its previous state.”

It is noteworthy that the village of Al-Nabi Elias, over the past years, has been subjected to demolition campaigns and halting construction of more than 35 residential, agricultural and commercial facilities. Since 2018, the frequency of these campaigns  has increased, especially after the construction of a new section of bypass road No. 55 that penetrates the village lands, as most of the facilities are located in the vicinity of this road which was constructed for the service of the Jewish settlers who illegally live in the West Bank.
