Description:

July 25th 2021, The Israeli Occupation Issued halt of work notices for houses and facilities, on the pretext of building without a license, in Duma village south Hebron Governorate.

The Occupation targeted 12 houses and facilities southeast the village with halt of work notices, on the pretext of building without a license.

According to the notices, the occupation sat August 9th 2021 , as the date of the building and organization session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.

Duma Village Council Head Suliman Dawabsha said:

A Massive army force accompanied by the building and organization officer at the civil administration, raided the village on Sunday July 25th 2021, and served halt of work notices for 12 houses.

Dawabsha pointed out: the owners conducted a meeting with Jerusalem Legal Aid and human rights Center to object on the notices. The following table shows more information about the owners and their facilities:

About Duma Village:[1]

Duma village is located 24 km to the southeast of Nablus city, and is bounded by Majdal Bani Fadil village to the north, Jordan Valley to the east, Khirbet Mughayyir to the south, Qusra and Jalud villages to the west. Duma has a total built-up area of 200 dunums where its area totals around 18000 dunums.

The village has a total population of 3400 residents (PCBS – 2011). Residents of Duma depend on plantation of fruitful trees such like olive and other different summer crops in addition to poultry and sheep husbandry

According to the village council of Duma, around 17 agricultural and residential structures are notified with stop-work since the year of 2008 in Duma village.
