The Occupation authorities served demolition Orders targeting agricultural rooms and facilities in At-Tawani east Yatta, on the pretext of building in C area without a license from the occupation.

Wednesday, February 12th 2020, a vehicle related to the building and organization department in the civil administration accompanied by an army patrol raided the area , and served demolition notices for several facilities.

  • Demolition order no (60587) : The Occupation targeted an agricultural room built of bricks and steel sheets, and belongs to citizen Khader ‘Amour , who uses it as a store for agricultural hand tools, the targeted room has a total area of (50 m2) . Noteworthy, The Occupation authorities targeted the room with a halt of work notice issued in January 7th

The Occupation authorities heavily target buildings and facilities in “C” area. Noteworthy, owners of the targeted structures applied for licenses and hired lawyers to object and follow their cases in the Israeli courts. The Occupation authorities leave Palestinians with the only choice to build without a license, and then demolish their structures.

In reality, the issue is not all about unlicensed construction than it is on the occupation’s intention to take over more lands in the area of their control (Area C according to Oslo Accords). The Israeli occupation considers such lands as a colonial reserve, which will be hard to negotiate on in any future agreements with Palestinians.
