- Violation: ravaging an industrial facility in Fuqeiqis.

- Victims: Ala’a Abu Sharar and his family.
Description:
Wednesday , 26th June 2019, The Israeli occupation army supported by a bulldozer invaded Fuqeiqis village West , and demolished a facility on the pretext that it is built in C area without licenses.
The targeted facility belongs to Ala’a abu Sharar who told LRC reporter:
“About 9:00 in the morning, an army force , an officer from the building and organizing department and a cutter biller bulldozer raided the village , and encircled Ala’a’s facility before they completely leveled it to the ground.”

Noteworthy, the targeted facility was used in recycling plastic for the production of chairs , the facility provides a source of income for a family of 8 , 6 of them are children.
The occupation left the following damages:
- A 500 m2 plot, which was used for the collecting, dismantling , and recycling of plastic, the occupation’s bulldozers buried the plastic used in the operation.
- The occupation’s bulldozers dumped a cave , which was used as a store for equipment , the bulldozer dumped it along with the equipment it contained.
- Ravaging a baton floor (150 m2).
- The occupation’s bulldozers also ravaged 50 meters of the road that leads to the facility. Noteworthy , the road leads to other locations in the village.
It is worthy mentioning, In 2/12/2018, the occupation authorities served a halt of work order on the facility And in 30 /1/2019 , the occupation authorities issued a final demolition order within 7 days, on the pretext of building without licenses.

About Fuqeiqis:[1]
Located to the west of Dura town in Hebron governorate, the village populates 1000 people, most of whom are employed.
It should be marked that Negohot colony is located on confiscated lands from the village. Colonists residences are few meters away from the houses of villagers. Thus, the area witness many colonists’ attacks and violations every now and then.
International Conventions and agreements pertaining demolition of houses and facilities:
- Article 147 of Geneva fourth convention : extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly. ( it is considered a serious violation of the convention)
- Article 53 of Geneva fourth convention that forbids destroying properties : Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or co-operative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.
- Article 33 of Geneva fourth convention: No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed.
- Article 32 of Hague convention 1907 part g: To destroy or seize the enemy’s property, unless such destruction or seizure be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war.
- Article 17 of Universal declaration of human rights 10 –Dec- 1948: No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
