Demolition of 66 houses since the beginning Al-Quds Intifada <br> The occupation Detonate Aj-Jabareen Family home in Yatta south Hebron

Home demolition is an illegal and inhumane policy conducted by Israel against Palestinians since the year 1948. It is part of the Israeli discriminative ideology and is considered a violation of international laws and human rights.

Description:

The Israeli occupation forces carried out detonating a house for security claims.

The Israeli occupation authorities accuse teenager Khaleel Aj-Jabareen (16 years) of carrying out a stabbing attack in September 16 -2018 close to  “Kfar Etzion” Israeli illegal settlement. Noteworthy, The Israeli troops shot teenager khaleel and now he is in the Israeli prisons.

The family filed a plea to halt the demolition but Israel Supreme Court rejected it and validated the demolition to take place on January 18 -2019

It should be marked that a massive force from the occupation army, a staff from the explosives department and a dozer raided at midnight the Yatta village and encircled the house of citizen Aj-Jabareen. The team of explosives planted bombs in house at time soldiers were evacuating residents of the nearby.

The detonated floor has an area of (170 m2) and inhabited family members and they are ( the owner (khaleel’s father ), his wife, his two parents and two sons).

 The Israeli occupation collective punishment policies .. 66 houses are detonated for security claims!!

Since Al-Quds uprising of 2015 until the date of this report, Israeli Occupation Forces demolished 66 residences, of which 12 were demolished in 2018. Demolitions were carried out as a collective punishment on the families of those accused of resisting the Israeli occupation. 333 persons including 121 children were rendered homeless as a result. Closing and detonating houses also caused 64 residence to get partially damaged and uninhabitable.

It should be marked that the order was issued in reference to the British Emergency Law for the year 1945, taking into consideration that this law was abolished. “Confiscation and demolition” according to article 119 of the law indicates that it is not allowed to re-construct in the demolition location. The policy of home demolition has a very negative impact on the psychology of kids and women. Witnessing the destruction of one’s residence is unbearable and traumatizing. Such acts undermine human values and rights.
