Stop-work orders on agricultural facilities in Beit Ummar village

Details:

Israeli Occupation Authorities  served stop-work orders on agricultural facilities  in the Hebron village of Beit Ummar on the claim of unlicensed construction.

Affected citizens said  that a vehicle relative to the so-called Israel Civil Administration raided the area known as "Beit Za'ta", east of the town, took photographs of the target agricultural barrack and pool and hanged the stop-work orders on them before leaving the location.

The orders targeted the following structures:

1.  Agricultural barrack: the owner , Naim Abu Maria, received the stop-work targeting his under construction barrack (4000 m2). The structure was supposed to be a cow farm and source of income for four families (35 members).

In the same context, Israeli Occupation Authorities confiscated a 1985 JCB dozer from the location. The force obliged the driver to drive the dozer to Kfar Zion colony, where the dozer was held. Noteworthy, the driver was delivered a minutes of confiscation.

2. Agricultural water pool: the owner , Ghassan Breighith,  received the stop-work order on targeting his water pool (1000m3 ). The pool is used for irrigating 20 dunums of vegetables plantation.

The orders mentioned that the structures were unlicensed and therefore ordered a halt on all construction works. A date within the order  was assigned as the hearing session of the Inspection Sub-Committee in the Israeli court of Beit El colony to consider whether to demolish the target structures or restore their previous status.

About Beit Ummar:

It is located 12 km to Hebron city. The village's total area is 21,285 dunums, of which 1,375 dunums are considered the built-up area; around 13, 548 people inhabit Beit Ummar. The Israeli occupation authorities confiscated 560 dunums from Beit Ummar for the favor of the bypass road no.60.  The occupation also confiscated 1,216 dunums for the favor of the following colonies:
