The Israeli Occupation Forces set up iron  gate on the southern entrance to the village of Marah Rabah in Bethlehem Governorate

Violation: setting up new iron gate at the entrance of a village.

Location: Marah Rabah Village / Bethlehem Governorate.

Date: 13/08/2017.

Perpetrators: The Israeli Occupation Army and the Civil Administration.

Victims: Palestinian villagers.

Details:

On August 13, 2017, the Israeli Occupation Army closed the southern entrance to the village of Marah Rabah by installing an iron gate. The southern entrance is considered the main entrance to the village, which connects it with the bypass road No. 60 that the village residents take to go to work and run their daily earned.

However, the occupation, without warning, closed the entrance for "security reasons" and erected an iron gate to open and close it according to the mood of the occupation army, without taking into account the right of freedom of movement of the villagers. The occupation seeks to impose restrictions on the villages of Bethlehem governorate and  create obstacles to hinder citizens' lives.

Reportedly, the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance several times with dirt and cement barriers and placed a barrier at the entrance to prevent citizens from leaving the village.
