Stop-Work orders on residences in Al-Arroub Refugee Camp

Details:

 The Israeli Occupation Forces notified on July 18, 2017 two residences of stop-work and construction in Al- Arroub camp, north Hebron governorate on the claim of "unlicensed construction".

Witnesses said that a vehicle relative to Israel Civil Administration arrived at the location, hanged the orders on the targeted houses and took photos of them before the force had left.

The orders mentioned that the structures were "unlicensed" and ordered an immediate halt on all construction works. August 10, 2017 was assigned as the hearing session of the Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration in the Israeli court of Beit El to discuss the legal status of the notified structures.

The targeted houses belong to the following:

1. Citizen Ahmad Ghanem:

The affected citizen received the military order number 203106, targeting his under construction house (110m2) that is supposed to be home for six members including four children works.

2. Citizen Abdelfattah Jawabreh

The affected citizen received military order number 203107, targeting his under construction house (170m2) that is supposed to be home for eleven members including three children.

It should be noted that Al-Arroub Refugee Camp suffers from lack of demographic expansion spaces. Not only,  the Israeli Occupation Forces never stopped targeting residents' housing and structures in an attempt to push them out of the area.
