The Israeli Occupation Forces notify residences of stop-work west Ramallah

A massive force from the Israeli Occupation Forces accompanied by the so-called Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration raided Budrus village, west Ramallah city and delivered seven families stop-work orders on their residences on the claim of "unlicensed construction" in area classified "C" according to Oslo accords. Noteworthy, such areas fall under Israel's control.

According to the orders, the affected residents were given a deadline until February 03, 2016 to complete all licensing procedures. This comes in time with the hearing session of the Planning and Construction Committee in the Israeli court of Beit El to consider the legal status of the notified structures. The following table shows information about the affected people and structures:

The mayor of Budrus told Land Research Center that the village suffers from the limited area of urban expansion since the village's built-up area is only 286 dunums of the  3500 dunums total area. This forced residents to construct outside the built-up area, leaving 65% of the village's houses built outside its master plan.

Budrus populates 2160 people who relate to four min families namely (Abdelkarim, Awad, 'lyyan, and Murrar).
