The Israeli occupation detonates the residence of detainee Mohammad Abu Shaheen in Qalandiya refugee camp

A massive force from the Israeli occupation army with a large number of Police members stormed at dawn of November 16, 2015 Qalandiya refugee camp, north occupied Jerusalem and detonated the residence of detainee Mohammad Abu Shaheen on the claim of “security purposes”.

A resident of the camp told Land Research Center the following: “After midnight, a massive force from the Israeli occupation army accompanied by Police members raided the camp from the side of the military checkpoint that separates the camp from Jerusalem, blocked all entrances to the camp and surrounded the targeted house. The number of Police members and troopers were estimated of 1000, who headed towards Shaheen’s house to bring it down. The people of the camp stood up to the force and armed clashes erupted between soldiers and Palestinian fighters.  Two young men namely Laith Al-Sho’ani and Ahmad Abu Al-Ish were shot dead as a result.

The force raided the detainee’s house after evacuating 200 people from the neighborhood and blocking them in the neighborhood’s stadium. In minutes, we heard an expulsion that we later knew it came from the detonated house of the detainee”

It should be marked that the detonated house was located in a three story building, where the family of the detainee (three members) lived in third floor (100m2).
